There is no single solution to increase employee motivation simply because what motivates one person may not be the same for another. Hence, if you are a business manager or a human resource manager, it is important that you identify first what factors motivate each of your employees.
Typically, this is done through a motivational “employee appraisal” but it may not be practical if you have few employees. Take note that this kind of appraisal is different from an employee performance appraisal, which should be conducted regardless of the headcount. If you do not directly oversee your employees, you can assign the task of finding out employees’ motivational factors to their supervisor or team leader.
There are two ways you can increase employee motivation — financially and non-financially. The first one is the most common way to boost performance, especially for output-oriented businesses. Increase employee motivation of people in production by offering a per-piece rate, which will drive employees to complete as much work as they can because they know that the more they produce the higher their pay will be. Just remember to put in place a strong quality assurance system to guarantee that quality is not compromised for quantity. You can also give out bonuses for people who constantly meet quality standards or exceed their daily quotas.
Aside from cash incentives or wage increases, you can also increase employee motivation through side benefits such as private health insurance, a company car, housing, daycare, paid vacations, and others. In many cases, offering these perks cost less than increasing wages and many workers value such benefits more than extra cash every payday so they are great ways to increase employee motivation.
Sometimes, money-oriented incentives are not enough to motivate some employees for the long term. These employees are those who are looking for personal growth or career growth. In this case, a great way to increase employee motivation is to show your employees that you are confident in their abilities by assigning more responsibility or giving them a special project. At the same time, doing so would improve or expand their skills. If it is possible, you can offer to promote consistent top performers once they have successfully met certain goals.
Keeping employees happy is critical to any business because if your workers are bored or dissatisfied there will certainly be a decline in performance, not to mention high staff turnover, so make it a priority to increase employee motivation. Offer them rewards whether financially or not for their excellent achievements and show them that you value their contributions. Give them opportunities to grow in your organization and you can expect your employees to stay with you for a long time.

Most of the fears we experience are irrational. In other words, there is no valid reason that we should be influenced by them because they are not based on any real, physical event, person, or thing. The effect on the vast majority of people in our society, however, is poverty-mindedness and inability to enjoy the wealth that is all around. Fear is the single greatest reason that you and millions of other people have not and are not now living more of the lives you desire.
Irrational fear has become the filters through which your self image directs nearly every decision you make, especially if the decision involves finances. Irrational fear is a major factor that keeps 95% of the population either in poverty or struggling to live on paycheck to paycheck jobs. Since, in a the state of fear, calm, rational thinking is literally pushed aside, any decision you make in this state is generally not going to be in your best interest.
Obviously, in order for you to succeed at mastering your mind power and having more of the life you desire, some of your fears must be faced and overcome. Please do not despair. The overcoming of fear is not as difficult as it might sound, and I am not suggesting that you overcome all of your fears. Remember, some of them may be so deep seated that the services of a qualified, professional therapist might be required.
It is critical that you identify the fear or fears standing between you and your desires. Here is a process that worked for me. I began to consciously observe my reactions and feelings whenever (for example) money issues came up in conversations with my wife or other members of my family.
If something as simple as an extended vacation came up, I would begin to sense those fear feelings in the pit of my stomach that we would need the money that we would spend on the vacation for something more pressing, and I would produce various reasons why an extended vacation was not a good idea. If something as serious as starting a business or investing in capital properties entered our conversation, the fear of the possible loss of our hard-earned money would sometimes become so acute that I would have trouble sleeping at night. Keep in mind that I was earning a six figure income, but that did not deter the fear.
One day it dawned upon me that I had learned from my studies that I needed to focus on my desires more than I focused on fear. Once I began to consistently imagine the joy of seeing and visiting with my family, old friends, and new places, the fear of needing the money for something more pressing faded more and more. There really was nothing more pressing.
As for starting a business, I reasoned that by choosing the right kind of business, there were some tax breaks available to me. By taking advantage of them, I could possibly keep more of the earnings from my job and make a profit sooner from a business by learning and using good money management principles. In other words, the imagined gain and joy of achieving my desires became greater than the imagined fear.
You too must go through a process of your choosing to overcome the fear within you. Life on this planet is too short to give it over to fears, most of which do not exist in reality and never will. One of the saddest commentaries on human history is the abundant availability of great wealth but fear all too often succeeds in blinding us to the possibility of having that wealth.
However, this I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

One way or another, we all come to a point in life when things just start becoming mundane, questioning just what we are doing with our lives, reaching up to this point. If you happen to be asking such questions, then it is safe to say that you have come to a point in life when you simply have lost the drive, the motivation, to live on.
Getting out of such a rut isn’t exactly the easiest of things to do, with some “wandering about” for years, while others simply springing back up into action. One secret which many of those who have gotten out of such blues comes in the form of two powerful books, giving motivational tips to readers, setting them back on the ideal track, resulting to them standing up to their most highest of potentials.
The Greatest Salesman in the World is a book written by Og Mandino. As a source for motivational tips, The Greatest Salesman in the World is quite inspiring, awakening readers to the reality that is life, and setting them on their realities, giving motivational tips which are surely quite practical and powerful.
As a source for motivational tips, The Greatest Salesman in the World primarily focuses on a philosophy of salesmanship, but holds relevant motivational tips not only limited to those with concerns over sales and marketing. As a source for motivational tips, The Greatest Salesman in the World practically gives readers a map to which they could apply to their lives, leading them to more productive, more happy days ahead.
Another powerful source for motivational tips would be that of Anthony Robbins’ Awaken the Giant Within: How to Take Immediate Control of Your Mental, Emotional, Physical and Financial Life. Authored by world famous American life coach Anthony Robbins, or also known as Tony Robbins, Awaken the Giant Within practically boasts motivational tips which readers are sure to appreciate, easily applying them into their daily undertakings.

I know staying motivated can be tough. But it is essential if you want to succeed in anything to stay motivated.
Here’s my top six ways to stay motivated:
1) Get a support group. That’s right, share your goals with others. When you share your goals with others you’re more likely to succeed.
I’m not sure if it’s a group effect or what. But you will feel yourself wanting to achieve your goals not only for yourself, but for the group.
You’ll feel if you don’t achieve your goals, you are letting your group down.
If you don’t have a group, get one. Look for people who share similar interests, or are motivated to succeed something as well.
You can hold each other accountable.
If you have a spouse or significant other, let them know about your goals. They will be good support.
2) Carry around your goal. Carry it in your pocket. Write down what you want, and laminate or put some tape around it, and carry it with you all the time.
This way, you are constantly being reminded about your goal.
3) Create positive goals. Meaning structure the wording of your goals to have a positive meaning.
Instead of “Loose 10 pounds” say I want to “Reach ____ pounds”. So you are not losing anything but reaching a certain point.
4) Review your goals often. Ray Allen’s GTD System emphasize the importance of the weekly review.
Review your goals often to keep you on track.
5) Do it everyday. Whatever your goal is, is there something you can do everyday?
What’s the next action?
The best way to keep motivated is to do something everyday that will lead you closer to your goal.
If you skip a day, make sure you don’t skip two. In order to really cement the goal into your head, you should do something everyday.
That way you can form a habit around your goal. Anything that’s worth doing is worth doing everyday.
6) Think about your goal all the time. Whatever you think about you will become. Keep it on your thoughts all day long.
Do you want to be rich? Think about it all day long, and you will become rich. Do you want to be fit? Same thing… whatever you think about all day, you will become.

For many people when they first learn what the Law of Attraction entails they might think it is too good to be true. After all, the principles may go against what someone grew up believing.
The idea that by focusing your attention on what you want and you can manifest it is a wonderful sounding concept. To be told you do NOT have to struggle and be miserable to have the life of your dreams is a dream come true for many.
So the question remains: Is the Law of Attraction too good to be true? And my answer is an emphatic NO!
The Law of Attraction is working all the time, every time. The problem for most people is they are not using this power deliberately. And so they focus on what they do not want or continue to hold negative thoughts and feelings. In turn, negative and miserable experiences occur.
Now take someone who has learned about the Law of Attraction and they start to apply it to their life. However, they do not get the results they want. They claim they are focusing on what they want and are being positive, yet they are not getting what they want.
What is happening with that person is they most likely have unconscious limiting beliefs. They think they are doing all the steps correctly but underneath it all without realizing it they are still focusing on lack or negative thoughts and emotions.
And one of the biggest limiting beliefs that I believe people have regarding the Law of Attraction is that it IS too good to be true.
How many times in your life have you heard that saying, “Well, if it sounds too good to be true, then it is”? And you’ve probably heard it about so many different topics such as potential mates, jobs, money making opportunities, etc. My point is by the time you reach a certain age you have most likely heard that phrase so many times that it is a subconscious limiting belief you have. Therefore anything that sounds so wonderful you instantly have doubt about.
And it is doubt that will keep you from using the Law of Attraction in the way it is intended.
In other words it is your belief (whether unconscious or not) that the Law of Attraction is too good to be true actually makes it your experience of not being good or true.
Remember the basic principle of the Law of Attraction is that your thoughts create your reality. So if you think it is too good to be true, then for you the goodness of the Law of Attraction will not come true for you.
When I had this “A-ha!” moment that perhaps why I was not always attracting into my life what I desired was because I had this limiting belief, I immediately changed my thinking.
In fact, I decided to coin a new phrase. Instead of “If it sounds too good to be true, then it is” I now say, “It’s so good it MUST be true.” By simply shifting my thinking and belief that the Law of Attraction is so good it could only be true then that is what I experience.
The Law of Attraction is real and when applied deliberately to your life can cause you to have all that you have desired. Of course if you just don’t believe it can happen for you then those are the thoughts you are attracting back and your reality will reflect it.
Just as the Law of Gravity always works, so does the Law of Attraction. But is up to you if you want to make it work positively in your life. It really can be done!

“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.”
Henry David Thoreau
In this world there is only two kinds of knowledge, one is General Knowledge and the other is specialized. General Knowledge no matter how great in quantity is of little use in the accumulation of money. Knowledge does not attract money, unless organized and intelligently directed through plans of action with a definite end of accumulation of money. Many people believe knowledge is power, it is nothing of the sort. Knowledge is only potential power, it becomes power when organized into definite plans of action, and directed to a definite end. Schools should teach students how to organize and use knowledge instead of just teaching information. A educated man is one that does not know everything about something, an educated man is a man who has developed his mind to work in a way where he can use his knowledge to gain what he seeks.
Learn as much as you can, but also learn how to direct that knowledge to gain what you desire. Follow this and your on your way of mastering the keys to success.

As a motivation keynote speaker, I often talk about comfort zones. In fact, along with achieving goals, comfort zones represent one of my favorite topics to speak about. When you hear or see the term ‘comfort zone’, one can easily visualize a very comfortable sofa in your living room. It’s another way of saying that we can easily get too set in our own usual ways and never venture into unknown or uncomfortable territory. So a comfort zone can be viewed as your present way of doing things in any area of your life. Not much motivation there.
The result of staying within a present comfort zone is that achieving goals can get postponed indefinitely, because it requires you to leave your comfort zone to acquire greater or new skills. This has happened to most of us at some time or another. There is sometimes a fear of leaving a comfort zone and a common example is with public speaking, which is considered a frightful experience for many people. The comfort zone in this case is staying seated in the audience rather than being up in front as the motivation keynote speaker at center stage.
In order to achieve our goals, we have to get a little bit uncomfortable to push beyond those cushy comfort zones. We have to get off that comfortable sofa, roll up our sleeves and get to work. This is exactly what I did with martial arts. When I started out in martial arts, there were many techniques and moves that I was not comfortable doing since they were so new to me. But I slowly pushed myself to expand my comfort zone each time I trained. I didn’t try to learn too much at a time. Instead, I made small steps to progress steadily. Over time, the techniques became easier as my comfort zone with them had expanded.
One of the most interesting things I learned from this entire process with martial arts is that if you expand one of your own comfort zones in one area of life, you can then attack all other areas of life with the same confidence and the same vigor. That’s what happened with me. I expanded my comfort zones in martial arts. The confidence built up as a result allowed me to improve other areas of my life. Some examples were career, dating, as well as other sports like skiing as I expanded my comfort zones in those areas too. It was this same confidence that allowed me to become a motivation keynote speaker, something that I would never have imagined myself as twenty years ago. As you start becoming successful, expanding comfort zones becomes contagious. It’s a good infection to have. How’s that for motivation?
Just imagine what you would be able to accomplish in a year’s time, whether for your health, professional or personal life, if you were to get just a little bit uncomfortable and expand your comfort zone by just a little bit at a time. I call this a ten percent comfort zone expansion in my book, The Life Champion In You. It’s totally astonishing when we realize what can be achieved over time if we actively work on something to achieve our goals every single week. It’s sort of like making the effort to put away a little bit of money each week. Over time, a nice chunk of cash will have accumulated. This similar type of pattern can be realized for almost any goal you have as long as you expand your comfort zone.
Clint Cora is a motivational speaker, author and martial arts karate world champion. His book, “The Life Champion In You”, is about how to overcome challenges and achieve life success. It is one man’s journey from personal tragedy to becoming a karate world champion. When we create something, we expect people to appreciate our creation. And appreciation of creativity is shown in different ways. It can be with a simple pat on the shoulder, a thumb’s up or a wink of an eye. But have you experienced when your creation was being ignored by people? Especially from those you expect to value your work more? It’s really disappointing. Sometimes, we are looking forward to seeing the appreciative look from people especially from our family and friends when they see our creation but we get frustrated. People tend to criticize and comment on our creation and creativity.
We cannot blame them- it is the way for creators, born to be criticized. All of us is born with a talent, born with creativity in our body. We are creative in our own way. Creativity is deep within us, only developed in different ways. Therefore, creativity is also expressed in different manners. It can be expressed through writing, painting, composing songs and poems and many other ways. Those people who give negative remarks on our creation are also creative in their own way but they don’t have enough courage and determination to pursue whatever creative ideas they have in mind.
One famous fable of Aesop teaches us that no matter how hard you try to please everyone, you pleased no one. This is a story about the man, his son and a donkey. The story starts when the three of them walked on the street. The man and his son walked along side the donkey. A passerby said that they should ride the donkey, so he lifted his son on the it. As they continued walking, another passerby told the son how selfish he is to let his father walk. The man rode on it and the son walked. A passerby again gave a comment that the boy should ride too.
So the boy did hop on the donkey. Everything went well until another passerby told them that they are burdening the animal so much with the two of them on its back. So he and his son got off from it. They started from the way they were, walking along side the donkey. Their journey all the way went well. And surely they had learned a lesson. We try to be creative in our own way but people influenced us to do it their way. But still they are not convinced of your creativity, your artwork. To be successful in life, just follow your own instincts, follow your mind, be creative in your own way.
Criticism is not a hindrance to succeed. If we are creative in our way, don’t let people ruin your creativity instead be challenged. Anyway, if creators would stop creating because they are being criticized, we won’t be enjoying the wonderful creations we see around us. Everything we see is the product of creativity. We must appreciate every little thing we have around us, without them, we won’t be able to enjoy life to the fullest. When we feel lonely, stressed, and disappointed, the once dark colors of our life will turn into colorful and lively one. That is the wonder of creativity and creations.
Through the effort of the creators, we are living in a wonderful world.
