I work with people who are going through change. Often the change is so significant that it becomes a crisis (such as a divorce or a severe health diagnosis). I guess how you handle change often depends on what, exactly, the change is.
Mostly, we want to feel good. We like it when things are going smoothly and we’d like them to stay that way. But how realistic is that? We know that change is happening all the time and if we are to grow in any way (mentally, emotionally, spiritually) we need to stretch, which means things need to change, which means we’ll experience some discomfort.
Think about it. If you suddenly decide that you want to run a marathon, you wouldn’t just go out and do it (at least I hope you wouldn’t). You’d probably want to consult a trainer, someone who could tell you how to get in shape. Then you’d start by doing short runs. At first it would be uncomfortable, you’d be stretching yourself and your abilities, but soon you’d find that you are able to run a mile quite comfortably and then you’d stretch yourself again by running further, and so on, until eventually you were fit enough and ready to run your first marathon.
Life is like that really. We want to grow — to be more, do more, have more — but often we don’t like the discomfort that comes with that growth. In fact, people often try so hard to avoid it that they end up making life even more difficult.
Yes, change can definitely be difficult. Particularly when it is forced upon you — such as your spouse suddenly announcing they want a divorce or your boss announcing that the company is making cutbacks and your job has to go, or a customer announcing they’re going to do business elsewhere. But even then, if we’re truly honest with ourselves, we’ll probably have to admit that there were signs that the change was going to come. Your spouse spends less and less time at home and you hardly see each other; your company has been letting other people go or there have been rumors of cutbacks; your customer hasn’t been in contact for a long time or not purchasing as frequently as before. There are usually signs, but we often tend to be so caught up in the every day living of our lives that we don’t take time to notice what’s going on around us — the signals that things are about to change or that things need to change.
From my experience of helping people through change, here are 5 steps that can help make the process a little easier:
1. Accept responsibility. Even if the change has been forced upon you, don’t think of yourself as a victim. This takes your power away. Accepting responsibility doesn’t mean it’s your fault, it means that you accept that this has happened, this is where you are and you need to move forward from here.
2. Look for the gift or the lesson. I think you’ll find if you look back on your life that out of every very difficult situation something positive eventually occurred. If you actively look for the lesson in the situation, it can help you to get to that positive outcome much more quickly.
3. Know what you want. Rather than spending all your time thinking about how bad the situation is or how unfair it is that it’s happened to you, focus on what you do want. It’s happened, now what — where do you want your life to go from here?
4. Take action. Don’t wait to see what happens next. Know what you want and take the action steps that will get you there. Doing something will help you feel more positive and start the momentum going towards what you want.
5. Get the support that you need. Stop trying to handle everything by yourself. Ask for help. Whether it’s from friends or family members or from a professional, such as a business or life coach — get the help that you need. The most important thing is that the people you allow to help you are positive and supportive.
You can learn to embrace change and to actively bring what you want to you in your life, rather than waiting for life to happen to you. I’ve found that it’s preferable to be in the driver’s seat when it comes to your life, rather than a passenger.

by Stacey T Pollock
When growing up as children we have to depend on our family for survival reasons and the early teaching of life’s ways. We learn to adapt to changes through the ups and downs of our life as we proceed to grow up and mature. The strongest lesson of all is the ability to depend on our own self for survival and within our teens we start to delve into this new arena. Most develop naturally to adjust to changes and seek time alone for their own individual needs in order to get away from the suffocating structures that they see within their family environment, wanting to be the boss of their own set lifestyle.
This necessity to be free and unrestricted by life’s pressures is a natural progression for most but for the few it takes time to realize how important independence really is. It sets us up on a road to self satisfaction and rewards that do not rely on others to be achieved. Standing on our own two feet really means to hold a ground to what we are as unique and individual people, showing the world what we have to offer from within, from our own personal viewpoint. What makes independence so strong is the need to not have to rely on another person in order to achieve and enjoy life for what it has to offer. There is no need to ask another for approval or advice, instead following a path on personal choices and an individual drive and passion.
What this sets up for a person when they seek to have self independence, is that they no longer have to feel pressured to live up to another person’s expectations. They no longer have to be held down by another person’s rules and laws within a family or defined structure. This opens up a new doorway to possibility, allowing a person to not be hindered by expectations in order to achieve. They then can view other people as individual and unique and instead of fighting in order to be heard, they see eye to eye with another as a separate individual, defining themselves on the basis of their own guiding rather than feeling pressured by another person’s defined way of seeing.
This is exactly the point that is to be understood, that another person’s way of seeing is from a different perspective. Their concepts and ideas are not always going to be what gives us a lead on life but merely an opinion based on their own individual philosophy and experiences. There might be facts laid out here and there, that we might regard as we further on in life, but the choice to see it or not is based purely on our own desire to see value in their reasoning. Whether we live within a defined structure of rules in a family environment these issues will still arise on who is right or wrong when it comes to ideas about how life should be lived. However when we are independent these conflicts that we have with other people become something else, they become choice based and when we talk with others about decisions and ideas, they are discussed on a more basic level. This allows for us to make a choice whether to take the advice on or not, giving us back the power to choose for our own development and lifestyle.
What happens when we decide not to follow the path of independence? Imagine how life would be if we continually chose to depend on others for all that we do, asking them always for advice and opinion in order to structure our own lives and how to live it. Can you imagine how life would be as a person who only follows in another person’s footprints in order to construct their own experiences? It would almost be seen as stupidity and blindness, showing only that a person refuses or is too scared to take the reins for their own choices in life. They say then why did I get such a different experience when I did things in the same way? Or why did I get hurt when you did not?
We cannot have another person’s life, it is that simple. Their choices are based on their own character and structure of life that they have already built around them. We cannot be them as much as they cannot be us to know what is good for our own future and desires. Taking on their set rules and structure only shows that we have a fear inside us to make choices for ourselves, preferring to hide behind another person’s direction instead of taking responsibility for our own actions and experiences.
An example of this might be when we see a relationship that another friend has with her partner as special, this does not mean ever that we will have the experience in the same way. To steal the friend’s relationship away from them will never mean that we will experience it in the same way. Depending on another person’s happiness to be our own, only shows our inability to build up our own unique experiences. We cannot have that experience of life for the fact that it belongs to another. Stealing or following in the shoes of another only then shows that we have little creativity or passion to search on our own to find our own unique experience. It can also show an inability to see unique beauty in our own personal experiences, leading to the thought that maybe we do not know how to build a life on our own choices, ambitions and desires, instead then choosing for another person’s experiences and philosophy as our own.
Knowing that individual creativity is special is one of the first stepping stones to independence. We no longer have to look to other people for approval or for a better life in which to lead. What we already create for ourselves is unique and special. It forms who we are and gives us two strong feet in which to stand on, leading us towards a path of seeing life in our own eyes instead of trying hard to fit into the shoes of another. Just like in the tale of Cinderella, there is only one who can be her and as much as we all try and fit in her shoe, she will still be the one who marries the prince and the one who will live happily ever after. We might not be Cinderella but we can create our own unique fairy tale that can bring to us all that we desire and wish to experience as an individual and unique perception through independence.

Week 3 is usually turning point for most people. Students drop out (or fail exams), athletes go stale and even army recruits become listless or rebellious. Fitness classes in particular always start thinning out in the first week, but keep most of the students after the third week. It is like the whole universe wants to yank you back to where you started.
Whether it is family, career or personal problems, there are almost always reasons or excuses to drop the class, stop the diet, go back to a bad relationship or take up drinking again. It often happens just before that magic number of week 3. Day 21.
In his book, Psycho-Cybernetics, Dr. Maxwell Maltz observed that it took generally 21 days for amputees to stop feeling sensations from their “ghost limbs.” Since then, the 21 day habit change has become an accepted theory in self-help and behavior modifying programs.
Memory traces (engrams) can produce neuroconnections and neuropathways if they are bombarded for 21 consecutive days.
So, here is the key. Small efforts over a 21 day period are generally stronger at programming a new habit than what most people do: large sporadic attempts at changing their behavior.
Obviously, instant habits can happen due to physical, mental and emotional trauma. These are under special circumstances. Generally, the human mind can be cultivated into that new habit within 21 days.
Now, what do you do to stop the relapse? How do you stop yourself from skipping workouts, staying out late or eating junk?
Answer: You make a plan to anticipate problems.
For instance:
1. Avoid situations and places where you can be to back slide. This can be pastry shops, coffee shops or bars.
2. In unavoidable situations, like meetings at bars or coffee shops. In these situations, bring the minimal amount of money and position yourself away from the pastries or alcohol.
3. Avoid overreaction to the occasional setback. Even the most disciplined people have relapses. Belittling yourself just weakens your resolve to keep trying.
4. Keep track of your successes. Mark on a calendar every day that you stuck to your plan.
5. Keep a journal of your progress. Your personal notes will keep you aware of other factors, like stress.
6. Give yourself small rewards at the end of each day, such as reading or telephoning a friend. These small rewards will assist your mind into taking on a new habit.
I know that this sounds too simplistic, but it does work for most people without any deep soul searching or counseling. Other methods can be found in Stomach Flattening

Subliminal messages are simply messages transmitted beyond the limits of human perception. Although you will not notice the message, it will be perceived on an unconscious level by your mind. This can be done through images, or through subliminal cds or mp3 albums.
The messages will be processed by your unconscious mind, and learning will occur just as your mind would further process information you read in a book for instance.
Many people are skeptical about the potential of subliminal learning. The simplest way to explain how the phenomenon works is by comparing it to hypnosis. hypnosis works by gaining access to the subconscious mind and making suggestions to it to directly modify behaviour.
This is highly effective as it bypasses the “critical function” of our minds. When we are children up until we are approximately 5 years old we do not have this critical function. This is why we will believe anything our parents tell us, we do not have the ability to logically challenge anything.
By gaining access to the subconscious mind and bypassing this critical function hypnosis can change negative behavior, bad habits, and make positive changes to peoples lives.
Subliminal messaging is simply a “lighter” form of hypnosis. You will not enter a trance listening to a subliminal mp3 album, but by repeatedly playing the album each day your subconscious mind will be exposed to positive subliminal messages.
In this way you can modify behaviour and make positive changes to your life without having to go into a deep trance like hypnosis state. However subliminal messages aren’t for everyone, again just like hypnosis you have to want to make the changes - it is no use buying a stop smoking subliminal album for someone who doesn’t want it.
However if you do really want to make positive changes in your life then subliminal messages can help align your unconscious mind with your conscious goals to help you succeed.

What Are Millionaire Wealth Building Principles And Habits?
Millionaires may seem different but the truth is, they have only discovered a few ordinary secrets that the average person overlooks. People are in tune to traditional patterns of societies philosophy. In our North American some ninety percent of the people are workers. Their incentive is the security of receiving a paycheck in even intervals. The assurance of the paycheck stifles their creativity.
Traditional thinking takes a back seat.
Millionaires on the other hand, are in tune with the mechanics of traditional thinking. They see the system as a provider of opportunities not a supplier of paychecks.
Here are twelve distinctive characteristics of millionaires.
1. Millionaires are focused. Even though they can adapt to conditions they are focused on the end result. They make a goal and put it in writing. The accomplishment of their goal is the driving force which sustains them. They don’t think about money they concentrate on playing the game. Money is a result of their desire to win.
2. Millionaires have unyielding confidence. They never enter into any situation without the confidence to back it up. They know they will win because they don’t question they can’t.
3. Millionaires are prepared. They never go into battle without a plan and the resources to back it up. They educate themselves for the challenge ahead and have confidence it will succeed.
4. Millionaires believe in themselves. They know what their capabilities are and do not hesitate to use every aspect in their command. They are not self involved but rather self evolved.
5. Millionaires believe in duplicating themselves. They are the mastermind that fits people into jobs they do best. They realize no one person can do it all and they know they have a treasure of talent at their request.
6. Millionaires believe they have no limitations. They are driven by their own ideologies, values and morals. No river can’t be crossed and no mountain can’t be climbed there is only the will to do it.
7. Millionaires are creators. They believe in generating their own environment and conditions. They see the world as opportunity waiting for their command.
8. Millionaires are aware and engaged. They belong to and take part in clubs, community events, give speeches, and claim their environment as their own. They command notice, not for glory but for reputation.
9. Millionaires share their expertise. Most millionaires have an apprentice they take under their wing. They want to extend their lives by inserting themselves into someone else.
10. Millionaires share their money. There would be no fund raising if it weren’t for millionaires. They build additions to hospitals, build parks and contribute to worthy causes and occasionally they are the venture capital behind another aspiring millionaire.
11. Millionaires are aware. Nothing goes unnoticed to a millionaire. They stay on top of everything going on around them.
12. Millionaires never give up. The most prevalent quality of millionaires is their perseverance in every thing they do.
Qualities found are not exclusive.
These are the twelve qualities which are also beliefs that can be found engrained deep into the mindset of most all millionaires. There is nothing special about any of them but when implemented, these mostly overlooked qualities allow an ordinary person to achieve success in a controlled and calculated manner. Accept these fundamental, core beliefs and make them a part of your life. I believe the spark of a millionaire lurks deep within you waiting for the right moment to spring into a great flame.

Even though I am well aware of the risks inherent in making assumptions, I am willing to take those risks for the purposes of this review.
I am assuming that you have decided that there is more to life than you are presently experiencing. You have seen, heard about, or read about the small percentage of people who truly live the lives of their dreams. Something deep inside you has told you that you have a choice of doing nothing different in your life which means very little if anything is going to change.
The desire inside you to live more of the life you would like is strong enough to motivate you so you have decided to make the attempt at mastering your mind power and to improve your life. You have even realized that small changes are not sufficient. You have accepted the words of the Rich Dad of Robert Kiyosaki who said just living differently is not the solution. You must live the OPPOSITE of your present existence.
To identify what your OPPOSITE life would be, you have mapped out all of your present consistent thoughts, mental images, and beliefs that you would need to remove from your life. You have wrestled mightily with that thought because living OPPOSITE might mean giving up your present comfortable surroundings, which may include some of your friends and family, your present job, and certain relationships. It will certainly mean ceasing to engage in many, if not most, of the thoughts, ideas, and mental images that consistently register on the screen of your mind daily.
You probably now have a better understanding of how your self image (ego, personality, map of reality) developed and how it became a subconscious mental vault for most of your consistent beliefs. You know more about how your most of your beliefs really belonged to your parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors, teachers, church members, and others in your environment from your past.
You realize they were in positions of influence and were able to succeed in passing their beliefs on to you. Since your mental faculties were not yet developed to the point where you could reason effectively and consciously filter out beliefs that did not serve you in a positive way, you simply accepted their beliefs as your own. Many of those beliefs from that time of long ago are still very much alive and still wielding their influence in your life today.
I assume you see how your self image is so very protective of your beliefs and will not readily allow any new incongruent thoughts and images to enter into your subconscious mind to become new beliefs. This is a huge paradox for you. To build a life that conforms to your dreams requires that you develop new (OPPOSITE) consistent thoughts, mental images, and beliefs. For that development to take place, you must find a way or ways to get those new (opposite) consistent thoughts, mental images, and beliefs past that tyrannical sentinel, the self image.
I am also assuming that you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, so you have, however reluctantly, identified at least some new consistent thoughts and beliefs you wish to make your own on your own. You have identified a process for change that includes a regimen of repeating affirmations. However unsure you may be, you begin!
This I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Many Olympic athletes use subliminal messaging to focus their minds and ensure they are “in the zone” on the day of the event. What use is 6 months intensive physical training if you do not feel confident, or your mind is not in the right place when it really counts?
Subliminal Messaging also has a large place in the self help field. Self improvement “guru” Anthony Robbins supports the use of subliminal messaging to enforce positive beliefs and to compliment conscious changes you are making to yourself - to ensure that your entire, body, mind, and UNCONSCIOUS mind are all working towards the same goal.
Tiger Woods has also famously used subliminal messages to improve his focus and concentration on his golf game. Spielberg has also been quoted as using subliminal messages, as well as many other successful people have in order to focus their minds on their goals.
Subliminal messaging has been used by many people who have been very successful in their field, and achieved the highest levels of success. Their success has not been solely down to the use of subliminal messaging, but is just one tool they have used to harness the power of their subconscious mind - to give them the mindset of a high achiever, ensure they go all our for success, but ultimately to gain an edge over their competitors.
Subliminal messaging is not for everyone. If you are looking for an instant fix to your problem, or are not prepared to do any of the work yourself then subliminal messaging will not work for you, but if you are driven, ambitious, and really want to excel in your life and achieve specific goals, then subliminal messaging will compliment this and work for you.

Reality Is An Insane Portrait Of Debauchery.
If a person is tempted to venture into his/her inner self what dangers lurk there? It is said that everyone is only one step away from insanity and capable of horrendous acts. What then, lies hidden deep within the human spirit; waiting to surface given the right conditions?
The exploding mind
People are walking bombs waiting to go off. We see evidence of it, don’t we? Shootings, stabbings, all kinds of atrocities committed on people. Friend against friend, family against their own, children against children and senseless crimes of opportunity. Why, where does it come from? What is different now than fifty years ago? What brought us to this state of being?
Mankind is seeing a new era of demented people, driven by false ideologies, twisted perceptions, and extreme hopelessness. These are tormented people spinning out of control with out purpose or direction. They are drowning in their own pool of despair as they sink down into darkness and terror.
They strike out, searching for some sort of identity some recognition of who and why they are. But there are no answers only more pressures to conform and blend into a society headed for annihilation. And soon they explode into tomorrow’s headlines.
Deceived by our own ideals
We write, sugar coated articles, of promise and good cheer while we turn our heads from the truth. It is our doing, we have spawned dismay and now complain of the circumstance. Look around, the merchants have become our idols while profits have become our god. Everywhere you look they are there with their wares their promises of happiness and self satisfaction.
Have we become so blinded we no longer recognize the truth? Have we bought into the idea that gratification is all that counts? Are we so lost we will never find our way back? When all hope is gone, there is no road back, is there?
I knew a man who became lost in the desert. He gave up hope and died. No more than 300 yards away there was a main highway and rescue. His mind made a determination that all was lost and he was going to die, and so he did.
Many times people come to the end of their rope and can’s see any escape. They make the decision to make their mark in the history books, at all cost. So, they go on a rampage and kill several people. What is the reasoning in that? Are they so lost they can no longer reason?
You are not exempt.
I warn you now, you are capable of horrible crimes against your fellow man. Perhaps it starts innocently enough, a little white lie, a stolen item from the local store. Then you justify your actions by saying, “they owe me”, or “I taught them a lesson” How about calling someone “fat,” or “ugly” as you place yourself in a “perfection mold”. How often have you judged someone without even knowing why?
The end may be closer than you think.
We line up, waiting for the doomsday machine to take our souls and all the while consuming every thing in sight. We become bitter and disorientated in our quest for more money, fame, happiness, relationships. We never quite get there, do we? There is always something, the newest Ipod, cell phone, ATV, SUV, Super sound system, bigger house - there is no end, no rest.
We bow to the Internet because websites there tout overnight six figure incomes with little work. And the lies beat down like a hurricane’s aftermath. At first there is hope, after all look at the testimonials. Everyone can’t be lying, can they? Then it hits us, there is no Santa Clause no hope in the future. No one cares except how deep they can get their hand into our pockets. Tomorrow will be the same as today and our efforts will make little or no impression. We will keep on struggling while politicians bicker and soon we will be gone and the world will hug itself a little tighter for what it squeezed from us.
There is no silver lining, no brass ring only hard work and disappointments. Again, no one cares about you; no one is coming to your rescue because life is an experience of trials and tribulations that taunt us to our grave.
Look for the rainbow.
But wait! Maybe there is hope after all. Maybe it takes courage, and determination to turn the tables on our side. Maybe it’s in the attitude or just being cautious. What ever it is, don’t allow the world to suck the life’s blood from your future. Reject the merchants and their attempts to control and draw you astray. Don’t fall for their tempting, enticing ways. Stay firm in the Faith and the hope of tomorrow.
Happy Trails

Nobody has the ability to motivate themselves better then you can motivate yourself that is why we call it self-motivation. The main Self-motivation tip is the understanding that self motivation comes from within us, not an external process.
Here are various self motivation tips:
Self Motivation tips #1 Reflect and write down all your goals you want to achieve on a piece of paper.
To get yourself motivated, you will need to know what your goals are. which ever road you choose it will have to be an achievable and realistic goal. If you set your goals to high that it can not be reached you will be doomed for failure and that is not very motivating.
Once you know your goals write them down on a piece of paper and put it where you can see it at all times, read it at least 5 to 10 times a day. Always speak as if you already have the things you want in life and imagine what it
will be like when all your dreams are realized. Talk about your goals and dreams until you honestly believe they are real.
Self Motivation tips #2 Stop Procrastinating:
Procrastination is one of the greatest motivation killer. Put time limits on the project you are doing. Always be very specific on how long you will work on a certain project.
The feeling that there is a time schedule will motivate you to get your project completed. Use this self motivation tip on anything you need to get done, whether it is a small or large project. Be careful though and make your time frame realistic, it is not good for your health to create unnecessary stress from a goal you set for yourself.
Self Motivation Tips #3 Reward Yourself:
Being rewarded is something everyone loves when they accomplish something or a goal they have been working on, so reward yourself when
you finish a project in the time frame you had given yourself so you have something to look forward to as a reward for finishing.
Just do not wallow in your own pride forever. Always create new goals when one is finished. Successful people are always looking for new ways to improve themselves and their lives.
Self motivation Tips #4 Have some Fun:
Home based businesses can be overwhelming sometimes, so a sense of
humor is a key ingredient in your success recipe. Try not to take yourself or your business too seriously. Learning to enjoy yourself while you work your home based business keeps you enthusiastic and motivated, and staying enthusiastic and motivated helps you keep your stress levels under control.
Self motivation has its own rewards in succeeding with your very own work from home business. I hope these self motivation tips will help you succeed in life.

The power of positive thinking is the title of a best-selling book by the late Norman Vincent Peale. Thousands of people claim that the power of positive thinking was a major factor in achieving their success.
Is it really the biggest factor in becoming successful?
Recent studies have shown that attitude, above education and other factors, has the biggest impact on your future success. If you have dreams that you want to achieve, you better start by evaluating your attitude.
Having a positive attitude and becoming a positive thinker is the most important step you can take in achieving your dreams. The best part is that it is relatively easy to become a positive thinker. It is just a matter of changing your habits of thought.
Positive thinking just requires that you change the way you handle the circumstances of your life. You want to start paying attention to the thoughts that you have throughout the day. Most of us have an internal monologue that goes through our minds during the day. Have you ever paid close attention to those thoughts?
Make it a habit to start monitoring your thoughts. Notice how many times in the day you are feeling discouraged, critical, sad, depressed or any one of many negative emotions. To set yourself up for better success, you’ve got to start thinking more positively.
When you become a positive thinker, you do not let one bad event ruin the rest of your day, or worse, the rest of your life. So many people walk around with a chip on their shoulder, and most of them do not even have a right to be mad. They are holding onto trivial matters and making themselves miserable.
Embrace the power of positive thinking by releasing those grudges. Allow yourself to react to bad events in your life, but pick yourself up again and keep on going toward your goal. Do not hold onto those bad feelings, and do not make yourself miserable. There is no point in holding onto those negative thoughts.
Positive thinking is not about being detached from reality. It is about taking charge of your reality, and taking charge of your thoughts. Whatever you concentrate on for most of the day is what you will create in your life. If you are concentrating on the negative, guess what you will get more of?
Become a positive thinker by focusing on the good in your life. You will begin to see more good come into your life, and then you will realize the true power of positive thinking.
